Animals are usually very open to the healing energy of Reiki which can be used to help accelerate their own healing processes, ease pain, reducing stress, and to improve quality of life. Animal Reiki is safe, gentle, accessible and accepted by all species of animals and pets. It’s great to use on rescues, for PTSD and trauma in pets, and even with farm and zoo animals. Animals too afraid to be touched, unable to be moved, or who are aggressive or wild can be treated as effectively remotely using "distance healing".

Just like people, even healthy pets can have occasional physical, emotional, and mental imbalances that if left untreated, can manifest as illness. Periodic Reiki treatments can help maintain your pet’s natural state of well-being and balance.

Many behavior issues are caused by stress. Reiki has a calming effect on the pet and may help make the pet more receptive to training and behavior modification. Reiki can also be very beneficial for animals with a history of abuse.

Reiki sessions for pets will take place in your home and typically last 30-60 minutes. The length and frequency of sessions depends entirely on each individual animal’s health status and needs. Some health issues can be positively impacted after just a few sessions, while others may take ongoing sessions on a recurring basis. The frequency of sessions will be tailored to you and your pet’s individual needs. 

Reiki treatments are not intended as a substitute for proper veterinary care, but work to complement conventional medical or therapeutic techniques to promote an animal’s overall well-being.

Reiki can be given remotely. Distance healing, also known as remote healing, is an energetic healing process that can be best explained through the principles of quantum physics. It can be as effective as an in-person hands-on healing session.
